A Glimpse of Spring
Posted on January 29th, 2008We’re getting to that point in the year when I always wonder exactly WHY I live in New England. The holidays are over and the novelty of snow has worn off and now it is just all about being cold and staying inside. Actually, I am determined to spend some time outside today because it’s supposed to be in the balmy 40s - that’s just sad!
On the flip side, the days are clearly getting longer, and we’re getting more spring deliveries at Mary Jane. Here’s a beautiful silk dress from Lulu Via that came in yesterday and immediately went in the window.
It also comes in black. It’s so light, you can’t help but think of a summer evening and a warm breeze. And THAT is what keeps me going through these cold months. I absolutely love that feeling of collective elation in the spring - those first warm days when the store door is open and the play grounds are full, even though it’s a little chilly, and we’re all so happy because we made it through another winter. I can’t wait!
